Buttons and stickers can be essential swag for event attendees.

 

They are a gift that attendees can take home to remember their time at your event, and they're also walking advertising.

 

If your sticker designer has done their job right and made something colorful and exciting, your attendees will market your event for you.

 

Buttons have a more limited draw, but can be put on shirts, jackets, backpacks and other places that stickers won't stay.

 

Our Penguicon buttons included one that represented the front cover of our annual souvenir book, and one chrome-and-color button for special volunteers.

 

The limited runs of both made them quite popular each year.

 

Some stickers are perennial, like the Penguicon logo stickers, while others change for each event.  Lakes of Fire used to give out physical tickets, but when they stopped, attendees clamored for another kind of keepsake, so I was commissioned to turn the art for the Event guide into a sticker people would want to keep.

 

In 2016, I made one for Mythical Creatures, and all 2,000 attendees received one as they entered the event.
